CARDIO BEFORE OR AFTER WEIGHT LIFTING?

Cardio before or after lifting weights?

You'll be surprised how many people get this wrong, and it's ok. I've had to reprogrammed plenty of my clients from doing this. Let me explain why cardio AFTER lifting is best.
-
To be clear: a 3-5 min warm up is not considered cardio and is completely fine before lifting

Ok, If your goal is to shed fat and build lean muscle, Cardio before working out will hurt your performance. Which will in terms slow down muscle growth and fat loss
-
Keep in mind, muscle is builded under tension w/ Volume and progressive overload. Doing cardio before your workout will deplete the glycogen (energy stores) you could've used during your workout (weight training). Those that do cardio before, won't have the energy required to preform their best, which will result to them doing fewer sets and reps

Remember lean muscle leads to lower body fat. So you want to put your body in the best position to build that muscle. Before you hop on that stair master for 30min to an hour. Hit them weights first! #fittip #kingfitness #trainsmart
